If you've been checking out the newspaper ads, you've noticed the double features of sleazy cinematic bliss that reigned supreme at the Norwood. It's funny how we look at those films today with such reverence, especially when for folks back then, they were just regular ol' movies playing at the bijou.

Well, the Norwood is hanging in there, part of Norwood Plaza off Norwood Ave on the Northside of Jacksonville. After closing, it was a club for a bit. Other than that, it is what it is and that's a decaying shell of a movie theater in a 70's styled strip mall.

But unlike most of it's peers, it still stands.

Technically, the Norwood lives.
